These are our Heroes!

While many of us are waiting for someone else to change the world, this year’s Billion Acts semifinalists decided to take this task on themselves.

With projects spanning 10 countries, these Heroes are helping combat poverty, racism, slavery, and the mistreatment of indigenous peoples.  They are empowering women in conflict zones, supporting Veterans, and taking on bullying, racism, and hate speech. Several young Heroes have created technologies to clean our oceans and disable land mines; others have helped plant billions of trees around the world.
