MaryPat Hector (moderator) is a recent graduate from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew a community service project into a non-profit: Youth in Action USA at the age of 12. By the age of 19, she became the youngest woman and person of color to run for public office in the state of Georgia. She serves as National Youth Director for National Action Network; one of largest Civil Rights organizations in the U.S..She is a Peace First Fellow and has been actively involved in PeaceJam for 2 years with their Youth Summits against gun violence.

Christian Omoruyi is a rising sophomore at American University in Washington, D.C., where he is a distinguished Global Scholar majoring in International Studies and minoring in Spanish. Amid a festering gun violence epidemic and a looming climate catastrophe, Christian has engaged in citizen lobbying and activism against gun violence and for climate action, organizing walkouts and protests for gun safety legislation at the Indiana Statehouse and mobilizing fellow high school and college students at strikes calling for aggressive climate action. Christian has been recognized for his work by elected leaders such as Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Vice President Joe Biden.

David Karmon is a final semester senior at the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) in Monrovia, Liberia, pursuing his undergraduate degree in Economics. His upbringing in Liberia led to his intense passion for global development. Since 2016 when he joined Peacejam Liberia, he has committed himself to addressing communities’ challenges while serving as a Peacejam Mentor and the coordinator of services Projects. Before joining PeaceJam, he was a charter member of the Rotaract Club of Sinkor – a humanitarian organization aimed at addressing communities’ challenges.

Shwetal Shah works in the field of Technology in London. Outside her day job she mentors students via Vahani a scholarship fund for students in India and is currently a Youth Team Member organizing the pan European PeaceJam 2020 Conference, she is passionate about role model representation and has organized a series of free public science lectures to widen the gender balance within science and tech along with making an award winning documentary on women in tech.

Blessing Iwuoba is the young Campaign Director of BeeCharity Outlook Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria. The group campaigns for childrens rights to be free from child labour in Nigeria. In June 2019 she organised a campaign event with UNIC Nigeria to demand an end to child labour in the country.
