Laila's project called "Menstruation Without Taboo", aimed to give tips and open knowledge to girls about Menstruation and the mood swings that it entails. In a survey, the responses of the participants were interesting: a decrease in self-esteem was noted at the time of menstruation, causing bullying and belittling when girls are staining from an early age. Perhaps due to ignorance or lack of communication in the family, these girls do not know what to do when you are on your period and they feel belittled by the male gender because they are the ones who do not go through these hormonal changes. Due to the critical health situation worldwide, Laila delivered her project virtually. They created a chat forum via WhatsApp. Participants spoke about the Woman's Body and its wonders, the female reproductive system, menstruation, the menstrual cup, self-esteem at the time of menstruation, SDG 5 at school, communication in the Family and a workshop on How to make ecological cloth sanitary napkins, for girls who have financial problems to acquire them, this very useful alternative was given. Laila views her project as a very rewarding and motivating experience.
This project reached 105 girls.
