In collaboration with other delegates from the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), Angelika facilitated a webinar that focused on the gender equality mindset. The webinar was scheduled every weekend of the month of September. It was broadcasted live via GSP’s official YouTube Channel every 2 PM. The goal of this e-Conference is to enable each GSP participant at the JLS 2019 to share what they’ve learned and empowered 100 (or more) girls aged 12+ more opportunities to practice leadership and see themselves as leaders. The target number of participants for this e-conference series was 800 Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts which was successfully achieved. The registration started a week before the first session via Google Survey form which was posted on GSP’s FB page.
There was a take-home activity for the girls for every session that Angelika conducted. The girls were urged to write small ways where they can support and empower each other, create spaces for their voices, and practice leadership together. They were also told to write how they can offer girls more opportunities that boost their confidence, opportunities to raise their voices and take the lead. They posted this on their respective Facebook and challenge one more girl to find small ways to support and empower other girls by tagging them in your post. Search for the hashtags #AkingTingog #GSPempowers to see the outputs. These activities helped them better understand and explore each of the WAGGGS Leadership Mindsets. After each session, the participants were asked to answer the Google Survey Form to test their learnings and evaluate each session. This also served as their attendance for every session. Only those who have attended the seven (7) sessions were given an e-certificate.
This project reached 99 Girls.
