About this Campaign

September 29th to October 6th

Winchester Green Week will be showing how we can all Make One Change to improve the environment and work to reverse climate change. Together we can have a massive effect.

It is a week of talks, activities and events to learn ways of making a positive change, share success stories and bring others on board.

Sponsored by a collaboration of organisations who care about the environment so that the residents of Winchester and District have the tools, knowledge and community to help build a better future.  The organisations include WinACC, the University of Winchester, Churches Together in Winchester, Winchester Cathedral, Winchester City Council.

It will be a week of inspiring talks, events and activities. Green Week aims to celebrate and promote action for sustainable living in Winchester District.

To achieve this aim Green Week will provide opportunities for individuals and groups to learn about and take action to live more sustainably – specifically, to make one change by:

  • providing ways to learn what sustainable living in harmony with nature looks like, locally and globally
  • promoting individual and collective changes
  • reducing environmental impact, specifically tackling climate change
  • promoting responsible consumption
  • looking after our natural and built environment
