During the Geneva Peace Week organised by the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform, I was delighted to be invited to appear on a panel of three young people, to speak about "Youth as Catalysts for Peace & Climate Action."
During the session I highlighted the crucial intersection of climate change, peace, and conflict. We emphasized that, the world faces unprecedented challenges, including climate change and conflicts in fragile regions. And to effectively address these issues, we must recognize the potential of young people as catalysts for change.
The objectives of this event were:
1. To emphasize the significant role of youth in climate action and peace efforts.
2. To share best practices and case studies illustrating successful youth-led initiatives.
3. To discuss strategies for engaging and empowering young people in climate and peace activities.
