About this Event
We are very excited to have 1992 Nobel Peace Prize Winner- Rigoberta Menchu Tum join us at our annual PeaceJam South African Youth Leadership Conference this October!
After a two- year absence, we welcome 450 young aspiring peacebuilders, mentors, and adult advisors who will be engaged in a two-day youth conference at Chrysalis Academy.
Our theme this year is: STAND IN YOUR POWER
Personal power is not referring to exerting control over others or situations to get what you want. It doesn't involve manipulation or force. It is not domination!
Standing in your power, means you are living true to what you believe and what is important to you. It means to acknowledge all that you are capable of, and you know and accept who you are - the good, bad, and the not- so - pretty.
We live and speak with authenticity and truth. You make choices that feel good to you. It's being committed to your self-discovery and growth. And with that commitment of self, also comes a commitment to setting boundaries and rules to live by that prevent you from giving your power away.
