Join PeaceJam Mid-Atlantic for an afternoon with Nobel Peace Laureate, Kailash Satyarthi, meet with various community organizations, and more!
About this event
Together with Kailash and local community organizations, hundreds of young leaders will spend the afternoon engaging in service and learning skills for creating compassionate and sustainable community change. (This event is eligible for SSL hours for students!)
This is a public event open to people of all ages and backgrounds who care about building a more loving and peaceful world.

PeaceJam is a global organization that unleashes the power of young people through the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates.
Kailash Satyarthi is a human rights activist who has been at the forefront of the global movement to end child slavery and exploitation. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 along with teenage education advocate Malala Yousafzai “for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of children to an education.”

In partnership with St. Andrew Orthodox Ukrainian Cathedral, we are collecting donation items for humanitarian relief in Ukraine. We request that attendees bring a donation.
Medical Supplies: band-aids, Neosporin, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Aspirin, vitamins, adhesive tape, antiseptic wipes, Vaseline.
Nonperishable Foods: canned meat and vegetables, dry and canned soups, coffee, energy bars, candy/chocolate.
Personal Hygiene: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, shampoo, lotion, deodorant.
NO LIQUIDS, NO BATTERIES, NO CLOTHING, NO USED ITEMS.
