About this Act
We are a family owned business working to help our native bees!
Since the late 1990s, we've seen a startling decline in bee populations. We hope to raise awareness and help our native bees by showing people how easy and effective raising Mason Bees can be.
The Mason Bee is a native North American bee that is less widely known than its honey-producing relatives, but could possibly hold the key to future food production. The Mason Bee travels within a 300 ft. radius, while the Honey Bee travels up to 2 miles. The shorter travel distance gives the Mason Bee much more time to pollinate. Masons can pollinate as many as 200 plants in a single day, as opposed to the 15 per day done by the Honey Bee.
