The 10DAYS30HOURS™ 'PeaceBuilding' Youth Programme was designed to examine the sustainability of youth at risk projects initially aimed at youth directly involved in gangsterism and drugs within high-risk communities/ previously disadvantaged communities in Cape Town, South Africa.
The 10DAYS30HOURS™ 'PeaceBuilding' Module is a grassroots community outreach engagement project dedicated to improving the health, educational attainment, human welfare, and opportunities for youth at risk in Cape Town, South Africa.
Our crime prevention programmes under the auspices of MENTORING PEACEBUILDERS SOUTH AFRICA NPC:
* social crime preventionto create and sustain a positive social environment, address the social risk factors of crime and violence in high-risk areas and increase resilience to these risk factors;
* a range of reintegration programmes to children and adults in conflict with the law who completed community-based and/ or residential programmes to promote stable interpersonal relationships and reduce their chances of re-offending;
* child diversion programmes The diversion programme provides a platform for those harmed by crime and those responsible for the harm in the community, in order to open a channel of communication. The purpose of bringing all parties involved together, is enable the affected persons to play a role in repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward. We believe that victims play an active role in the process and offenders take meaningful responsibility.
